Dhananjay Gadre wrote in from New Delhi with news of "GuGaplexing", an update to the tried and true technique of Charlieplexing. GuGaplexing introduces a set of transistors into the mix to double the number of LEDs you can address:

The "MIDIFY" is a pretty interesting, small board that lets you add MIDI to anything you can think of. In particular it, allows you to add MIDI to any Nintendo handheld game console such as the DS, DS Lite, GameBoy, GameBoy Advance, and others.

Alvenh sent in this site on how to make your own hardcover book. This isn't a project you can make in an hour, but in the end you should have a nice book that will last for generations.
