How to convert an old petrol lamp to use electrical current in a few easy steps. You'll need: Petrol lamp (dah) Power cord Lamp socket Lamp (one that will fit both the socket AND the petrol lamp) Knife, dremmel, and screwdrivers Switch for the lamp Some patience .

This lamp is made from a traffic cone, some old OSB, and a couple of threaded rods. The latex rubber cone actually diffuses and transmits light surprisingly well, but I punched a pattern into it with a soldering iron to let some more light out.
