We've seen plenty of lens hacks, but [Koray] took things in a new direction. Rather than buy lens chips for modding all of his manual lenses, he added a lens chip inside his Digital Rebel 300D (aka XT).

Well, right, you can do this easily by using various chipped adapters for several lens mounts - but how about permanently modifying your camera to do the same and avoid paying extra for multiple adapters? I love my 300D but I don't own any EF/S lenses, all my arsenal is from 1980s, gorgeous manual focus lenses from Olympus and Carl Zeiss.

This fantastically huge housing was put together by [Ed Sauer]. He put together this housing using TIG welded 6061 aluminum for the body and machined the port mount out of 7075 aluminum.

Welcome to my first instructable. . . I wanted to make a wired remote for my Canon EOS 400D, and the Canon-Wired-Remote wasn't exactly what I had in mind: - It had 2 buttons (one for focus, one for taking the shot) and not the 2 step (half press) buttons on digital cameras.
