Fresh from the tips line, [Pedro] sent in his GSM alarm. He combined a GSM phone, a motion sensor and BasicX24 controller board. If the detector trips during a set time period, the alarm sends SMS messages to the terminator, er whoever you want.

Rarely do we want to take something apart so much. . . Apple's new phone, the iPhone looks great, can't wait to poke at it. . . Since it uses Mac OS X the mantra at launch seems to be about build real (un-crippled) desktop level applications.
