Spluch points to this photo of the world's first transistor radio from Michaeljpro... It's funny Sony still uses names like this for all their products... "Regency TR-1, the world's 1st commercially released transistor radio - went on sale in the fall of 1954. This cabinet colour was called "madarin red".
