BlackBerry Thunder - A touchscreen Blackberry

iPhone users will be having serious competition in the coming year as the BlackBerry Thunder, will be launching in Q3 this year. It is a full touchscreen BlackBerry — no slide out keyboard — with only 4 physical keys. (No the picture is not of the real thing) Those are the send / end phone keys, the BlackBerry menu key, and the back key. it looks so much like an iPhone that its will be hard not to imitate the interface as well for RIM. Though it will launch as a worldwide lifetime exclusive on Verizon and Vodafone!Its roumored that the unit will be a hybrid device with CDMA EV-DO Rev. C (for clarification, Rev C., known as UMB is practically dead. If the device will indeed launch with a 4G solution, and GSM HSPA for traveling internationally. Verizon and Vodafone will have the same unit.

Currently, the model number is the BlackBerry 9500, though it's very early and that's likely to change. This clearly is another attempt at eating into apple's pie, as the iPhone keeps growing, its competitors are simply imitating in looks while adding state of the art features.
