There's nothing like an unexpectedly early launch to brighten our Monday, and our volunteer this particular week comes from the good folks at T-Mobile and Research In Motion. Following up the Curve, the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 now marks the second smartphone to support T-Mobile's HotSpot@Home WiFi calling service -- but unlike the QWERTY-equipped Curve, the 8120 packs both WiFi and GPS for a rather powerful (and elusive, in RIM terms) one-two combo. Just like its AT&T-branded cousin, the new Pearl features a mercifully accessible external microSD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, and an improved keypad; unlike AT&T, though, the T-Mobile version naturally features support for myFaves. Look for RIM's latest productivity machine to hit shelves starting today.
