Christie Installs 3D Projectors for Georgia Theater Company

Christie is the leader of digital cinema installations worldwide. Today, the company announced that they’re latest installation is the Georgia Theater Company, which owns over 270 screen in 27 locations. Christie has agreed with the movie company to install 250 of those screens with the latest CP2000-ZX projector, which features 9000 ANSI lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and a 2K HD (2048 x 1080) resolution. Christie has already installed 40 projectors since the contract signing, and they will hurry to finish as many as possible before the release of James Cameron’s “Avatar” movie. “Service and experience with digital equipment installations are two major factors in our selection of Christie digital projectors and Christie Managed Services,” noted Aubrey Stone, president of Georgia Theatre Company. “We tested their units for a year and we were very impressed. The picture on the screen was excellent. Along with their technology and lowest cost of operation, Christie’s track record of installing thousands of screens worldwide was also an important consideration in our decision.”
