The Microsoft Touch System is one of Microsoft’s more popular products. By using an infrared camera and a projector, the system displays an image onto a screen under a sheet of glass. The images displayed can be played with and moved around, by users, just by touching the screen. This technology has projected us into a new age of devices and modern conveniences. Recently it was announced that five Sheraton Hotels in Las Vegas, New York, Boston and Seattle, will be adding the Microsoft Touch system to their hotels. Guests will be able to use the system to look up local businesses, restaurants, events, and other activities. Kids will also be able to listen to music or play games on the screen. Microsoft has plans to role out larger touch systems to other hotels as well as convention halls, businesses, and other social gathering spots.
