In London on June 5th, 2008, Tekcare is having an event at the British Film Institute to introduce the SIM2 range of High Definition video projectors to the UKs post production fraternity. According to Graham Murray, Tekcare managing director, High Definition projectors have historically been so expensive that only the wealthiest post production facilities could afford to invest. However, technological advances have helped reduce the price to the point where these products are now available to many more customers.”He adds, with regard to the event, “The purpose of this event is to introduce post production professionals to High Definition projection and explain how to get the best from the technology. Our demonstration will introduce SIM2s front projection systems, which are based on proprietary DLP technology that ensures a perfect picture every time. The SIM2 Grand Cinema C3X1080 worlds smallest 3-chip full HD (1080p) DLP-based projector will be shown, along with the Grand Cinema Pro 5000, which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and a contrast ratio of >5000:1. The HT3000E Host, the most recent SIM2 projector will also be in London.
