Texas Instruments is happy to announce today that over 100000 movie theater screens now use the companys DLP Cinema technology. That equates to 8 out of every 10 screens use the technology worldwide. DLP display technology is used by several of the top theater projector manufacturers like Barco, Christie, and NEC. All three companies will be showing their latest cinema projectors at CinemaCon 2014 this week. The digital cinema revolution has raised the presentation standards of quality and consistency in cinemas around the world. More than ever before, audiences everywhere can see on screen exactly what movie makers imagined for them, said John Fithian, president and chief executive officer, NATO. On behalf of the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) and our members worldwide, we congratulate the TI DLP Cinema team and their customers, Barco, Christie, and NEC, for their contributions to the cinema industry.
