Bendix/King AV8OR by Honeywell is for those who spend time both in the air and on the ground.
When you’re flying you can identify and get critical information for objects on the map with a simple tap on the screen. AV8OR can provide detailed information on obstacle heights, airspace limitations, and even VOR frequencies.
AV8ORs has a touch-and-drag feature just like in your GPS navigation system which makes panning the map a simple, one-touch operation. No longer you have to hold a cursor button and wait to see whats ahead.
It also does a ’smart profile’ of your route so you can plan ahead with a vertical
profile view of terrain, airspaces and obstacles on your course.
And when you are on the ground driving (boring…) AV8OR has a standard road GPS navigation system. The software seems to resemble what used to be on older Mio sat nav’s with your basic 2D and 3D navigation, voice prompts, and more than 10 millions of POI.
Bendix/King AV8OR costs $750 and comes with either a European database or USA database. The Standard equipment includes an 800MAh Battery, remote GPS antenna, 12V-28V DC Adapter, 120/220V AC Adapter, PC/USB Cable, carrying bag, aviation mount, car windshield mount, and earphones.
