British electricpig has an article about alternatives to iPhone 3G. iPhone 3G’s been out for a few days now and we’re not hearing that great things about the GPS functionality - which we know does not provide turn-by-turn directions. Sure, the iPhone 3G has GPS, but with no voice prompts or even proper satnav-style navigation software, it’s left at the mercy of the mobile competition.
