Honestly, the Meizu M8 is not holding up as our famous iPhone clone, and even earlier reports that the M8 may run Google’s Android in the near future did little to attract more interest to the Cinese mobile brand.

We are pretty impressed by the ONDA VX510. The 2. 4-inch music and video player which provides a spiffy touch-sensitive media controls to the user and a form factor that leaves no room for complaints.

If you’ve been wondering about all these HD PMPs coming out in China, we have an unboxing video for you. Notice the meticulous detail of the packaging, the iPod-like form factor of the remote control, the manual and the connectors wrapped in plastic, then finally the Gemei HD 8800 PMP itself, which supports 1080 video and is equipped with an TV out (and I’m glad the user interface looks pretty good, but why the blues?).

If you’re on the lookout for an unassuming PMP from a well-known brand, you might want to take a look at the ZEN X-Fi2. It’s a 3-inch touchscreen player that doesn’t stray too far from previous Creative models.
