Sure, we already know that Fujitsu is currently working on a 5 terabyte hard disk drive, but if Hitachi had its way then you'll be using a Hitachi 5TB HDD (to store all your high definition porn) before you say goodbye to the year 2010.

Just when solid-state drives were about to catch up to the spinners, Hitachi has gone and announced that it is working on a 5 TB hard drive. It says the drive should be available by 2010 in a 3.
