Apple's Safari browser for Windows

Apple's Safari browser for Windows

Finally Apple has confirmed it's plan to release Safari web browser for Windows users. According to the company it's twice as fast as Internet Explorer 7, 1.6 times faster than Firefox 2 and executes JavaScript up to 2.8 times faster than Internet Explorer 7 and up to 1.6 times faster than Firefox 2. Steve Jobs dubbed Safari 3.0 as the "fastest browser running on Windows." "We think Windows users are going to be really impressed when they see how fast and intuitive web browsing can be with Safari," said Jobs. "Hundreds of millions of Windows users already use iTunes, and we look forward to turning them on to Safari's superior browsing experience too." It provides SnapBack function to return to an initial search query, and private browsing to keep your online activities private.

The Safari 3.0 browser is now available in beta version (for Windows and Mac users) and the final version will be pre-loaded in OS X Leopard, or you can download it for free in October.
