RDS Encoder

This circuit connected to the PIRA32 expansion IIC bus connector provides backup for internal real time clock during power off. This can be sometimes useful if back-up power supply is not used on the transmitter site.

Anyway, the RDS encoder operation is not affected by the time information lost. Estimated battery life is more than 10 years. Supported in firmware version 1.2 or later. Automatic detection on start-up. Use TIME and DATE commands to set the time and date information or simply use the Windows control software.
