Here is the unboxing picture of Panasonic DMC-TZ Compact Super Zoom Digital Camera. This is perhaps the best compact, pockatable super-zoom camera to date that can go up to a whopping 21.4x zoom (with extended optical zoom, digital zoom off).
The remarkable feature is stunning 25mm wide-angle and 720p 30fps movie
recording using AVCHD Lite codec. Panasonic claims this is the first compact
camera in the world that records in AVCHD Lite format.
Although the supplied Lumix Battery Model DMW-BCG10E (DMW-BCG10PP in some
countries) claims to last for good 300 shots as per CIPA standard, Practically
it is not that much great. Juices running out fast if you take a lot of movie
shot and play with the camera with LCD on. Anyway, it is good. But better get an
extra battery always ready for any long tour.
It would have been better if Panasonic opted for rechargeable AA size battery
instead of proprietary one; as Canon does. Then you would be able to buy normal
AA dry cell also from the street in case of emergency.
