BRIEF DESCRIPTION

This transmitter has STEREO sound channels. Designed to cover full 1240-1296MHz ATV spectrum, this is a very sophisticated ATV excciter system that can drive small to medium RF power amplifier.

Stereo sound is accomplished by two seperate SIF oscillator operating on different SIF frequencies. Both are changeable within 5 to 6MHz range. Bothe this SIF is then combined with video signal and processed in the transmitter chain.

Built on high quality double side PTH glass-epoxy PCB, the transmitter chain is something similar to G4WIM design with slight modifications and an additional Signetics power amplifier added to boost output power to some 15-16dBm level. An additional power control pot can regulate the output power level from minimum to maximum.

The PLL section is designed by a serial PLL chip MB1501 driven by a PIC microcontroller. Frequency is selected by Up/Dn push switch. Three LED display shows the corresponding channel number. It has last channel memory backup.

RF output connection is similar to RC227T, i.e. coaxial is directly soldered to the PCB for zero insertion loss. However a SMA connector can be soldered to PCB.

You can use this kit to directly fed an antenna for short range application. Otherwise, you can drive a power amplifier for more power output.

This kit can be ordered with a set of 7 custom frequencies choosen in between 1240-1296MHz. In that case, select appropriate option from drop down list and write your required 7 frequencies (in order they are required) during checkout procedure. Custom programming charge will apply.
